Rowing Adventure

10 Oct 2009

Chris and Joe - two local graduates and keen rugby players, are raising money for the Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice in Arundel, Sussex and Grafham Grange Special Education Trust in Cranleigh, Surrey -  by taking on the challenge of a lifetime and rowing across the Atlantic Ocean. Their odyssey begins in December 2009 and should last roughly 60 days, taking them from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua in the West Indies as part of the Woodvale Challenge Atlantic Rowing Race.

Everyone at Cranleigh Scientific will be following their epic journey with interest and with our donation Chris and Joe have bought much needed flares for their trip. They said that they will be sure to thank us all when they need to warn off some over zealous wildlife, or a ship that strays a little to close for comfort!

We wish Chris and Joe every success - the challenge they are taking on is just amazing.
