Gareth Emmett - Recruitment Director

Gareth graduated in 2003 with a degree from King's College London and then joined Cranleigh Scientific as a Recruitment Consultant specialising in recruiting graduate scientists across the scientific sector in both laboratory and commercially focused roles. Gareth was made a partner at Cranleigh Scientific in 2005 and has since developed a strong working knowledge of the scientific sector working with companies ranging from major blue chip multinationals to SMEs and placing candidates into positions from entry to senior management level. Gareth has a strong belief in offering both candidates and clients a quality, consultative and honest approach to the recruitment process with the aim of building long term mutually benefiting working relationships.

Garry Emmett - Director 

Garry has a background in Corporate Finance working for 30 years in the City where he specialised in the renewable energy and low carbon sectors. Since becoming a full time working Partner in Cranleigh Scientific in 2006, he has been taking his sector knowledge into the renewable energy market place offering a full range of recruitment services to clients and candidates alike. Passionate about green issues and the need to address climate change through the increased deployment of renewable technologies he is looking to make a positive contribution by bringing like minded parties together in this challenge.

Laurence Emmett - Business Development Director

Laurence is Account Manager for the environmental sector at Cranleigh.  He joined us following a successful six years working at one of the fastest growing recycling businesses in the industry – Specialist Waste Recycling. Laurence has a firm understanding of the UK’s environmental sector having worked as an Area Manager and Sales Executive in both North and South of the country. His expertise lies in dry waste, hazardous waste, polymers, and logistics. His extensive professional network is vast and invaluable for sourcing the best candidates for the best roles in the environmental industry.

Sally Emmett - Director 

Sally has worked in scientific recruitment since 1991 and established Cranleigh Scientific in 2001. Prior to this Sally's background was in Human Resources and staff training working for a major blue chip corporate.  With her extensive knowledge, experience and understanding of the scientific market Sally has represented the recruitment industry at HR seminars and conferences aimed at tackling the issues that affect scientific recruitment in the UK and she is able to bring this expertise to bear in her recruitment practices. Totally committed to client and candidate relationship building and delivering excellent customer service - Sally's approach is to offer a truly consultative approach to the recruitment process.

Natasha Lambert - Business Manager

Natasha Lambert is our newest consultant.  She brings with her proven consultancy expertise in the science sector, superior marketplace knowledge and the determination to drive through expansion of this exciting new area of business for Cranleigh Scientific.

Natasha thrives on the challenge of building a successful portfolio; she has previously been responsible for setting up and developing a London branch of a UK recruitment firm.

Karen Goodall - Office & Marketing Manager

Karen Goodall joined Cranleigh in 2010 as our part-time Administrator, having come from a background in marketing.  Karen undertakes all our pre-employment screening activities, as well as the day-to-day administrative tasks required to keep the office running efficiently.  Having originally worked as a manager in the NHS, Karen left the public sector in 1994 to transition to marketing.  She obtained her MBA in 1999 and continued to work in marketing until 2001, when redundancy offered her the opportunity to review her work-life balance.  Karen’s attitude to administration is that it should be the invisible support structure underpinning the organisation; it’s only visible when it’s not done well.  She likes to take a pro-active approach to her work and prides herself on her attention to detail and old-fashioned, hard-working attitude.
