Cranleigh Recruitment Strengthen Commitment to Oakleaf Enterprise with Programme of Fundraising Events and Challenges for 2011

Cranleigh Recruitment is delighted to renew their charity partnership with Oakleaf Enterprise for 2011/2012.  This will be the second year in which Oakleaf has been Cranleigh’s adopted charity and over £2,500 has been raised to date to support them in their goals to help people with mental illness rebuild their health and confidence through education and vocational activities.

Cranleigh’s commitment last year to make a donation for each permanent placement made by the consultants has provided a steady flow of funds to assist Oakleaf.  This year, however, Cranleigh is determined to raise the bar on its fundraising efforts, with a series of challenges, activities and social events throughout the year.  Fundraising activities already arranged include a 10-mile run through an army assault course in the middle of November.

Gareth Emmett, Cranleigh Scientific Division Manager, said, “We’ll continue to donate a set amount for each permanent placement we make, but this year we’re being much more ambitious with our fundraising.  The idea is to raise a lot more money - we’ve set ourselves a target of £10,000, and help raise Oakleaf’s profile within the community.  The plan is that by committing to some more unusual events, we’ll capture people’s imagination and encourage them to donate more.”
